Aphrodite or Venus for the Romans is the protagonist of this splendid painting on canvas by Botticelli.
I have always considered this painter one of the greatest exponents of Italian art, of an absolute refinement, of a delicacy worthy of an almost feminine hand.
Impossible for me not to include, in one of my revisited tables, one of the two most representative works of this artist. The other is of course the well-known “Spring”, which I keep in store for my next job.
